This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of 3D production pipeline from a technical artist's point of view by building upon strong foundation in ins and outs of the software. Through a combination of lectures and practical assignments students will learn essential concepts and techniques to create efficient, robust and artistically pleasing rigs and character setups. In addition, by teaching scripting in MEL and Python this course also prepares students with a solid foundation for automation and pipeline/tool development.
By the end of this course, students will have a solid understanding of the 3D animation pipeline and be well-prepared to pursue a career as rigging/technical artist and pipeline developer.
